What’s new at Textlocal

It’s been a busy few months at Textlocal, and there’s been lots of new developments across the business to help us serve you better. Here’s just a taste of what’s been happening…

In November we made an exciting announcement – our Messenger platform is now listed as an approved supplier on the Government’s procurement portal, the G Cloud. For organisations in the public sector, that means that they can choose Messenger to send their SMS without needing to go through a lengthy procurement and approval process. For private sector and charitable organisations, this news means you can be assured that Messenger has passed rigorous government security checks.

In December, Textlocal was recognised by the telecoms industry when Messenger was Highly Commended in the Best Small Business Service category at the World Communications Awards, beating Vodafone and Turkcell. This commendation positions Textlocal as a world leading SMS messaging provider and gives you the confidence that you are using the best platform on the market for your communications.

Most recently we announced our integration with Zapier – the platform that allows you to easily automate tasks between multiple web apps. This means that integrating your existing software and processes with Messenger can be done without any development knowledge whatsoever. Thanks to Zapier, developers around the world have done all the hard work for you, so you can quickly integrate with over 500 different business apps, from CRM systems to project management platforms. We’re excited to see what Zaps our customers create to make their messaging easier…

Our events calendar has also been pretty busy over the last few months. You may have seen us exhibiting at the Customer Contact Expo, the eCommerce Expo, EHI Live, the Emergency Services Show and most recently at ICE Totally Gaming Expo. As well as showcasing our award-winning Messenger platform, we’ve also been supporting the event organisers with their official visitor communications. If you’re running an event that would benefit from SMS support, get in touch.

The last 12 months have seen the Textlocal team grow significantly, with additions to our sales, developer, business support and marketing teams. We’re always on the look-out for outstanding talent in our Chester and Malvern offices.
