Mobile firm O2 has revealed a number of perks for customers who sign up to its new 4G service at the end of the month, according to mobilemarketingmagazine.co.uk.
The company is set to offer customers the ability to change their phone “at a whim”, as well as additional phone data for those who sign up quickly. Experts in the industry claim that the provider is offering the perks as an answer back to Vodafone which is also launching its 4G service on the same day, August 29th.
Vodafone is also set to offer its customers a better deal, as it is offering purchasers an extra GB of data in its SIM-only packages than O2 is.
The new 4G network is set to provide mobile internet to users that is at home broadband levels speed. This will be great news for those who are running mobile marketing campaigns, as it means consumers are likely to see marketing messages quicker on their smartphones.
O2 also announced this week that it is to launch its new 4G service with a multi-platform Plan B gig, which will be live-streamed across several locations in London.
According to musicsweek.com, those at the three digital media locations (Kings Cross Station, Victoria Station and The Wall at Westfield Shepherd’s Bush) will be given headphone to enjoy the gig live as a silent disco.
