The charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care, and SMS delivery provider Textlocal have announced a partnership to generate cutting-edge SMS marketing campaigns for the charity’s events and appeals. The partnership is the first of its kind for both organisations and will see Textlocal providing a mobile marketing programme, SMS infrastructure and expertise to the charity, enabling it to send texts, receive donations and collect data, all via mobile.
The two organisations will work together to find innovative, creative ways of using texts to communicate with supporters of Marie Curie Cancer Care’s flagship appeals and events, including the Great Daffodil Appeal, Blooming Great Tea Party and Walk Ten. Utilising business SMS for Marie Curie Cancer care allows the charity to drive cost-effective communication, as well as boosting fundraising and increasing participation at events, which is a key objective of the partnership is to enhance the experience of the charity’s supporters and reach new audiences.
Amanda Johnson, corporate development manager at Marie Curie Cancer Care, says: “We’re very excited to be working with Textlocal.
