The once humble mobile phone has evolved to become the most used communication tool in existence. Since 2005, Textlocal has been at the forefront of business mobile messaging. Our inhouse, award-winning, technical team like nothing better than to innovate and build tools optimized for delivery on mobile phones that meet real business needs.
We deal with businesses every day. We know the challenges you face, and we understand your needs. Our emphasis is on efficiency, integration and ease of use. Our Messenger platform has been built with this in mind, along with some handy added extras such as tracking, surveys, attachments, ticketing, analytics and campaign management tools.

As Managing Director of Textlocal Ltd, Jason has overseen the rapid expansion of the Chester based company from a growing SME to a leading player in the global mobile communications industry since joining the company in 2011.
After studying Leadership and Management at the University of Wales, Jason has spent 30 years in several senior management and leadership roles with brands such as Capital Bank, HBoS, Lloyds Banking Group, Accor Group and Home Retail Group (Argos and Homebase) before joining Textlocal.
Outside of his corporate background, Jason has also been involved in several small business start-ups within the Hospitality, Event Management and Service Sector.
Following the acquisition of Textlocal by IMImobile PLC in October 2014, Jason has spent the last six years expanding Textlocal’s market share and extending its reach by the introduction of additional communication channels on its CPaaS platform, reflecting market dynamics and a shift towards richer digital automation and customer engagement. Jason has successfully led Textlocal to remain the most trusted online messaging B2B service for thousands of UK businesses while embracing innovation and delivering industry-leading technology.
Jason is an active member of the Insititute Of Directors and local business community. Outside of work, Jason is a keen yachtsman & sailor.
Edu has been working with Textlocal since February 2011, initially as an account manager but since 2018 as Commercial Director. His commitment, leadership and contribution to the business have played a crucial part in Textlocal’s growth into a market-leading online messaging B2B platform.
Originally from Brazil, Edu grew up in a small city in the Amazon. His career began as a Procter & Gamble Media Planner, working on several campaigns, including the launch of Ariel. Upon moving to England in 2003, Edu joined the Market Research team at MediaVest Manchester, where he provided insight to brands such as Greggs, Holland & Barratts, Phones4U and others.
Edu and his partner are addicted to gadgets, gaming and gin! He also takes pride in being a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Fun fact, when Edu was growing up in the Amazon, he had a variety of wild pets including a Jaguatirica (wild cat)!
As the Associate Director of Business Development, Mark has been part of the significant growth of Textlocal since November 2014 when he joined as a Business Development Executive.
After achieving a Sports Technology degree at Staffordshire Uni and then completing a Postgrad in Regeneration at Manchester Metropolitan, Mark went on to work for the Welsh Assembly Government for 12 years on an economic regeneration project working in the most deprived areas in Wales.
Mark is married with two children, Sienna and Mario. He is a keen sportsman, having represented Wales at a Junior level in multiple sports (Cricket & Football) and coached the Under 15 national side for four years. He has lost count of how many broken or dislocated bones he has had and once was described by the Queen as a ‘fine specimen’.
As the Senior Commercial Operations Manager, Dawn joined Textlocal in August 2019 after an exciting meeting with JPJ, Edu and Mark. Having worked in the industry already, we knew she would bring a myriad of expertise to help Textlocal to continue to grow in the global mobile communications industry.
After achieving a degree in History & Sociology at St Mary’s University, Twickenham and a Master’s at the University of London in Race & Ethnic relations Department of Politics & Economics to boot, Dawn started her career off with a decade of working in London publishing houses such as Bauer Media and the Redactive Media group, including print buying, distribution and production management. Moving into the mobile communications industry in 2003, Dawn brings 16 years of leadership experience with Mediaburst and a wealth of knowledge across mobile messaging, medical apps and multi-channel messaging.
Dawn enjoys yoga and skiing and has been known to fall off a windsurf multiple times and despite all the odds get back on again, luckily no bones broken with any of these activities! Fun fact, she was once mistaken for a lion.
Our teams are based in two separate offices. One in Chester and the other in Malvern.
Our main office in Chester includes our Sales, Support, Marketing and Finance teams.
These teams are responsible for ensuring your experience with Textlocal is as professional and smooth as can be.
Our Sales and Support teams are always on hand to answer any of your questions and do their best to ensure your business makes the most out of Messenger from the moment you activate your account. Our Marketing team strive to create the best content, user journeys and website experience to support your business with all things SMS and keep you inspired. The Finance team work hard to make the operation run smoothly are there to help customers with any last-minute invoices.
Our Malvern office is where our Technical Front and Back-End Development and App Support teams work hard to innovate our products and keep them running smoothly.
These are the people behind making sure that the thousands of happy customers Textlocal has can send their SMS messages to anyone in the world and on time. This team is also responsible for making sure the service is up and running as efficiently as it can be to support the demand from our customers.
Situated just outside of Chester, the main headquarters of Textlocal is in the leafy surroundings of Pulford on the Bell Meadow Business Park.
Since 2005, our office has always based on this business park, although we’ve outgrown our offices a few times as the commercial team has grown from just a team of 6!
On a warm summers day, you can often find many of the Textlocal team, as well as many other businesses on the park, sit around the on-site pond having their lunch, enjoying the countryside surroundings.
